BreezePDF is a privacy-first PDF editor. Our core principle is simple: your files stay on your device. We do not upload, store, or process your PDF documents on our servers.

How the Editor Works

The BreezePDF web editor runs entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. When you open, edit, or export a PDF, all processing happens locally on your device. Your files are never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to operate the service:

• Account information: If you create a BreezePDF Pro account, we collect your name and email address (via Google sign-in or email). This is used to manage your subscription and send you account-related communications.
• Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
• Usage data: We track basic usage metrics such as page visits and download counts using server logs. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
• Contact form submissions: If you contact us through the website, we store your email and message to respond to your inquiry.
• IP addresses: We log IP addresses for rate limiting (download limits) and security purposes. These are not shared with third parties.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• The content of your PDF documents
• Your files or any data within them
• Browsing history or behavior tracking via third-party cookies
• Personal information beyond what you voluntarily provide

Desktop App

The BreezePDF desktop app works offline. It connects to our server only for license activation, update checks, and subscription validation. Your documents are processed entirely on your local machine.

SDK and CLI Tools

The BreezePDF SDK and CLI process PDFs locally on your machine. They connect to our server only for license activation and renewal. No document data is transmitted.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (session management) and staging access. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Third-Party Services

• Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy

• Cloudflare: CDN and DDoS protection. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
• Amazon SES: Transactional email delivery.

Data Retention

Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription. Contact form submissions are retained to provide support. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected].

Children's Privacy

BreezePDF is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
